iMac running OS X v10.7.5. Can I upgrade to a later OS X?

If you bought it new in 2010, it can be upgraded to Sierra.

If you bought it secondhand, its maximum OS is either El Capitan or Sierra.

All the 27" iMacs can run Sierra.

If you decide to upgrade, strongly suggest having a complete backup before you start (2 would be better using different backup utilities, to separate backup devices - Time Machine, SuperDuper, Carbon Copy Cloner, Disk Utility -> Restore)

However, if you are having issues already, it may something else on your system that is causing you problems. You might want to post the output from EtreCheck and let the forums look at it. It will list all the 3rd party additions and many times, 3rd party additions are the root of performance issues (not always, but a lot of times)

Hi, I tried to download the El Capitan too, but the Get button in App store, only give me: Copy link or Tell a friend, there is no download button. In fact this is for all app (free or paid) in my App store, what wrong with my Mac?

What should I do?
